LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two men were injured during a shooting in a Valley Station mobile home park, according to Louisville Metro police.

LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the men were shot around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Autumn Lake mobile home park, located in the 3000 block of Springtime Avenue.

Kim Harned, who lives in Autumn Lake, was on her way home when she witnessed something she never wanted to see.

"The next thing you know, they were bringing people out that had been shot and it looked pretty bad and it's pretty close to home," said Harned.

Police said a man entered a mobile home and started shooting. Two males inside, who do not live at the home, were hit.

Harned watched as two people were put into different ambulances.

"One of them looked like he had gotten shot three or four times up in here and he was a mess all the way up," said Harned.

"We just saw something like this coming, so we got out of there and it's just ridiculous," said Kraig Sharp, who use to live in the mobile home.

As a K-9 officer searches the scene, Sharp and two other friends watched.

Sharp said they all use to live at the home and know some of the people involved. They said this violence is all drug related and they moves out when the owner started using.

"It's like we tried to help him, but you could tell, there is only so much you could do for somebody," said Zach Sandmann, who use to live at the home.

As for the other neighbors in Autumn Lake, they're not happy with the way things are going and hope it starts to change soon.

"What's mostly disturbing is all the children around here and people just going crazy with guns, it's not a good thing," said Harned.

Both shooting victims were taken to University of Louisville Hospital with what police said appeared to be serious injuries. The identities of the victim's have not been released.

No other injuries have been reported.

No suspect information has been released. Anyone with information in the shooting is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at (502) 574-LMPD.
