The Ohio County Sheriff's Office says they have caught an escaped inmate.

Kentucky State and Ohio County law enforcement were looking for Steven Brown after they say he walked away from the Ohio County Detention Center around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Ohio County Jailer says Brown was a second shift trustee and worked in the jail assisting guards with things like laundry, sweeping and mopping.

Brown is currently serving a six month sentence for contempt on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officials say Brown also escaped the Breckenridge County Jail back in 2004 and served 5 years for that.

The Ohio County Sheriff's Office says Brown was caught near Sunnydale Road after a K-9 unit tracked him down.

Authorities say he was arrested without incident.

Officials say Brown could be looking at one to five years in prison for this escape.
