A bus stop too far away for some Owensboro riders is being moved thanks to an inquiry made by 14 News.
Some visitors say a bus stop for Owensboro Regional Hospital is too far from the main entrance.
Wanda Case can't go very far without her walker. She makes monthly visits to the Owensboro Regional Hospital, and to get there, she takes a bus. But it's more inconvenient than she would like.
"We should not have to go through that," Case says.
Wanda says the bus stop isn't close enough to the hospital lobby, and for some people, it can be dangerous.
"It is ridiculous because its just too far and we're not able to do it. I can't do it, I use a walker," Case says.
Wanda wants the bus stop moved to a closer location. 14 News contacted Owensboro Regional Hospital, and as a result are going to fix it.
"Whenever we have a patient, visitor, or community member that has a concern, we really do take those concerns seriously. We built this campus to make it very accessible to anyone," says Steve Johnson with the hospital.
Johnson is the Director from Government and Community Affairs. He says they're going to work with the City of Owensboro to find a solution.
"Certainly, last thing we wanted to do is put a bus stop too far away, in a way that a citizen or patient could have a difficult time getting to the campus," Johnson said.
The hospital is looking at ways to help accommodate those who thing the bus stop is too far and if you have a complaint they ask you to contact them via their website, owensborohealth.org.
