HPD: Drugs within reach of young kids in motel room during arrest

Henderson Police say two people are arrested on a list of charges several charges including endangering a minor.

HPD says on Friday, officers served a warrant for 25-year-old Lance Caine at the Holiday Motel at 1759 South Green Street in Henderson.

Authorities say in the motel room they found Lance and Chasity Caine. 

Officers say while in the room, they observed drugs and drug paraphernalia that were within reach of two young children who were also in the room.

Lance was arrested on several charges including:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd or > (Methamphetamine),
  • Possession of Marijuana,
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Minor,
  • Drug Paraphernalia (buy/possess),
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree (drug unspecified),
  • a Bench Warrant for Non-Payment of Fines (issued in Webster County, KY)
  • and a Parole Violation

Police say Chasity Caine was also arrested on multiple charges including:

  • for Endangering the Welfare of a Minor,
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence,
  • and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).

Lance and Chasity Caine were taken to the Henderson County Detention Center.

    We are looking into an event that was canceled last minute this weekend leaving many with unanswered questions.  According to the Facebook Page "Evansville Events" an event called "The Adult Prom Evansville 2018, Remember the Time," was canceled on the day of the event.  The prom was supposed to be held at the Ramada Inn in Henderson on Saturday at 8 p.m.  The events page says tickets were $75 per couple and proceeds were to benefit the Evansville...
