There were heated words in Dixon, Kentucky on Monday night.

Some called for the mayor's resignation after allegations that her husband tore up the soccer fields at Baker Park.

76-year-old Jimmy Frederick is back in jail Monday night after an initial arrest last week. He's now facing contempt of court charges after he allegedly went to the city building against a judge's orders.

Beyond accusations that she had a role in the soccer field incident, Mayor Linda Frederick was also accused on Monday night of making city decisions without the approval of the commission.
But she made it clear, that she isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"If you do not leave, God help you, God help all of us," resident Scott Townsend said.
One by one, calls Mayor Frederick to step down.

"Just accept the fact that we don't want you to represent us anymore," resident Amanda Henn said.

"You have done some good things for this city, but what your husband did to these kids is wrong," said Dawn Matheney.

"You will suffer the wrath of the people of this entire county. The evils that you've committed have touched nearly every home in Webster County," Scott Townsend said.
The mayor listened to concerns, then told the capacity crowd she's staying put. She calls the incident at Baker Park last week, a case of miscommunication, and says her husband's "work" on the soccer field was to improve the field and within his job description.

"I don't really take all that stuff to heart. After two and a half years, I kind of let all that stuff just play out," Mayor Frederick said.

When 14 News asked if she had any plans to resign, Mayor Frederick said, "Not right now."

A petition for her resignation was presented to the commission and finally accepted by the mayor who says she's not done serving the people who elected her.

"I was elected to do a job and sometimes the hardest thing to do in a job is treating everyone fairly and all the same," Mayor Frederick said.

The mayor's husband is charged with assault, terroristic threatening and wanton endangerment for allegedly hitting a man with his tractor on Friday.

The Dixon Parks Board has filed it's own complaint. Because of the investigation, there may not be any soccer played on that field anytime soon.
