One person has died and three others have been airlifted to a hospital after a car and a minivan collided along a northern Indiana highway.
Lt. Travis Adamson of the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department tells WSBT-TV (http://bit.ly/1eCLgf3 ) the driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision about 11:30 a.m.
Sunday at the intersection of U.S. 33 and a rural road about 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
Adamson says two passengers in the van and a person from the car have been airlifted went to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Other details of the collision were not immediately available.
