PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Law enforcement officers have identified the victim killed in a rollover crash Saturday on Interstate 10 near Picacho Peak.

Rosa Ortiz, 28, of Tyrone, NM, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The right rear tire tread separated and the vehicle she was driving entered the dirt median and rolled, DPS officers said.

Ortiz was ejected from the vehicle.

The one-vehicle crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. at mile post 219. It forced the temporary closure of the highway.

Twelve passengers in all were injured, many of them were children. They were taken to a Tucson area hospital.

No other names or information were immediately available.
