A woman was arrested for driving drunk in Rock Hill, with three children in her car, according to a report from the Rock Hill Police Department.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when an officer with the Traffic Enforcement Unit noticed a vehicle swerving on Cherry Road. The officer followed the vehicle for a short distance before initiating a stop at the intersection of Cherry Road and John Street.
Once the vehicle pulled over, the officer could smell alcohol coming from the driver, Katarsha Anderson, 34, who was driving with three children. The children were six, eight, and thirteen years old, the report states.
The officer called for assistance, and Anderson was given a field sobriety test.
As a result of the test, Anderson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment.
The children were taken home to wait for a family member to arrive from Columbia, South Carolina.
