Pink was a popular color at Ellis Park on Saturday.
It was all for the annual Horses and Hope race.
The event brought about 100 people to the race track.
Many of them are cancer survivors.
They were honored at the track as a way to bring awareness of breast cancer.
"We have an education booth set up so we will not only be celebrating survivorship, we also want to educate the race fans and those who work at the track about the importance of being screened so we are kind of doing double duty here," says Jaime Rafferty. "We are celebrating and then we are educating."
Rafferty says she will be back at Ellis Park in a few weeks to talk to the staff about the importance of breast cancer screenings.
