Summer camp kiss leads to a lawsuit

A 15-year-old Connecticut girl was allegedly sent home from a Massachusetts summer camp last month because a boy kissed her.

The girl's parents filed a lawsuit in Bridgeport Superior Court Monday against Camp Emerson in Hinsdale, Mass.

The parents claimed that a camp official falsely accused their daughter of engaging in sexually provocative behavior with the boy who kissed her.

Among other alleged claims included in the lawsuit were negligent infliction of emotional distress and defamation.

However, court records indicate that the lawsuit has been withdrawn.

Rosemarie Arnold, attorney for the girl's family, would not confirm the withdrawal of the lawsuit, but says cases can get resolved.

Sue Lein, the camp director, did not comment.
