Jessica Schmidt

Jessica joined the 14 News team in July 2013, and she's thrilled to be in Evansville living out her dream.

After spending four years at Kent State University in the Honors College, Jessica graduated in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in broadcast news and a bachelor's degree in psychology. While in school, she worked at TV2 KSU, the university's completely student-run television station. She was an anchor, reporter, and the station's news director.

Jessica also had the opportunity to spend two weeks in India in 2012 as part of a Kent State storytelling course. She reported on the Delhi water crisis and the concept of Indian families.

A Cincinnati native, Jessica also spent time interning with WKRC/Local 12's news department.

In addition to her reporting duties, Jessica became the anchor of the 14 News Saturday 6pm and 10pm news in 2014.

When she isn't at 14 News reporting, you can find Jessica watching a Reds game, spending time with friends and family, or playing with her cat Skittles.
