New judge appointed in Jason Perry murder case

A new judge is appointed in the Jason Perry murder case in Gibson County. That's according to our media partner the Princeton Daily Clarion.

Posey Circuit Court Judge James M. Redwine has been selected to replace Gibson Circuit Judge Jeff Meade.

Meade recused himself on Friday because he was a deputy prosecutor in a 2005 battery case against Perry and the prosecution is using that case as an aggravating element.

Perry is accused of shooting and killing Jesica Tice outside Los Aztecas, in Princeton, back in May in front of her son and mother.

Prosecutor Rob Krieg is still deciding whether he'll seek life in prison or the death penalty.

The next hearing is set for August 12th.
