You really couldn't have asked for a better night to close out the Vanderburgh County Fair on Saturday.
The President of the Vanderburgh County Fair, Beth Schmitt, tells 14 News that attendance has gone up, especially in comparison to last year.
It was very hot in 2012, so the cooler weather this year was welcomed.
Schmitt says record numbers were hit Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
However, she still says the fair is the fair and that everyone in the community looks forward to it.
"The weather doesn't really affect us that much other than it makes people walk slower when its hot and they have to drink a little bit more, but when its cool like this they like to eat and eat and eat some more so its great," says Schmitt.
Donna Fickey, the owner of Pappy and Grammy's Kettle Corn, told 14 News she had record sales every single day.
The fair will be completely torn down by Sunday evening by 5.
