OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Owensboro officials have confirmed an accident involving a train and another vehicle.

Officials say 19-year-old, Susanna Webb, was turning from 8th Street onto Maple Street in a Silver Chevy Trailblazer when a train hit her.

The train did not derail and is operational, but is parked on the tracks, splitting the town in half.

Drivers can get around the train at Crabtree Avenue to the west, or Breckinridge to the east.

The driver of the Trailblazer did not receive any external injuries as a result of the accident, but was taken to the Owensboro Health to check for any internal injuries.

She will not be cited for the incident.
