Detectives say more human remains found in Hopkins County

HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Hopkins County law enforcement tells 14 News they have found more human remains at the same site where they found bones earlier this month in Madisonville

The remains were found behind a house on Continental and Cherry in Madisonville by a County Road Department.

They were repairing damaged tiles from the first dig site earlier in the month. Investigators first found human remains during that dig.

The State Medical Examiner and Dennis Mayfield, the Hopkins County Coroner were part of the crew on the scene.

The reported scene goes from a culvert down to a stream.

Investigators have told 14 News that they are now continuing to sift through dirt behind the home.
