A man was taken to the hospital after his car ended up in a Henderson County creek.
Authorities say the driver, Robert Shiver, was traveling south bound on Highway 359 near Utley Road, west of Smith Mills, when he lost control of his vehicle. Shiver overcorrected, went across north bound lanes and went into a nearby creek 20 feet below the highway.
Troopers say Shiver was taken to Methodist Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 359 was shut down while crews pulled the car the creek. It's since reopened.
Authorities say the accident was due to medical reasons.
