On Thursday, another fundraiser will be held for Detective Nathan Schroer whose been fighting Leukemia.
They're hosting a shish kabobs lunch at in Downtown Evansville.
All proceeds will go toward Schroer's cancer treatment expenses.
The EPD detective is back to work after some promising blood work. We're told the initial prognosis wasn't so promising.
"They had sent him home on hospice. Basically said 'no hope for ya,'" said Billy Bolin, Chief, Evansville Police Department. And then he goes back for a checkup and the leukemia was completely gone. Nathan's a pastor so he believes it was God that healed him and I'm not going to argue with him," said Chief Bolin.
It costs $10 to eat lunch at tomorrow's fundraiser's in Evansville. It's at the Main Street Park Downtown and runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30.
