I applaud Purdue President Mitch Daniels for defending his criticism of Liberal Historian Howard Zinn's book " A Peoples History of the United States".
First of all the book is a piece of trash that is full of false information and distortion written by a person who hated the United States. Historians agree that it is not an accurate account of American History.
Our Universities lack a balance of free expression of ideas in my opinion. Liberal academics demand academic freedom , but only with liberal ideas.
Do you remember a book that claimed people of African descent were less intelligent because of genetics? The book is called the Bell Curve, written by Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray.
The science is questionable and the findings are downright racist.
I wonder if our liberal sanctimonious academics would defend the freedom of censorship if this class was taught in our Indiana Universities? Absolutely not, and they shouldn't , anymore than they should defend Zinn's distorted history.
That's my stand, what's yours?
