College students rewarded with laptops at Ellis Park

Ellis Park and the KY HBPA continued its annual tradition of rewarding area college students with nine new laptop computers on Sunday.

Students who had a valid student ID or college acceptance letter and photo ID were eligible to enter the drawing at the racetrack.

In addition to Sunday featuring the popular KY HBPA Dollar Day menu, this week also brought college students to the park in the hopes of winning a laptop package that featured a 15-inch HP laptop, laptop sleeve, wireless mouse, 8GB Flash Drive, Anti-virus software and Microsoft Office Home/Student edition. 

The winners of the laptops were:

  • Dominic DeLucio, a freshmen at the University of Kentucky from Evansville, Indiana
  • Daniel Croft, a junior at Murray State University from Madisonville, Kentucky
  • James Houston, a freshman at Liberty College from Morganfield, Kentucky
  • Lauren Hart, a sophomore at University of Kansas City Missouri from Kansas City, Missouri
  • Luke Bockelman, a sophomore at the University of Southern Indiana from Evansville, Indiana
  • Bailey Cronin, a sophomore at Indiana University from Huntingburg, Indiana
  • Jennifer Kiesel, a junior at Ivy Tech State College from Cynthiana, Indiana
  • Howard Hatcher, a sophomore at Vincennes University from Vincennes, Indiana
  • Jack Kiely, a sophomore at Kentucky Wesleyan College from Evansville, Indiana
