Precautionary water advisory for Oak Hill Road area in Evansville lifted

Posted: Updated:

Due to flushing the distribution lines on Oak Hill Road, the Evansville Water Department has lifted the precautionary DO NOT USE water advisory.

The department says the chlorine levels were above acceptable limits due to problems with a water line relocation Saturday.

Results of the samples collected from the affected areas have revealed that no evidence of any of the previous concerns with elevated levels of chlorine in the water lines that were identified originally.

The advisory affected residents in subdivisions along Oak Hill Road from the Pigeon Creek bridge north to 3120 Oak Hill Road were under the advisory for high chlorine levels. All streets and subdivisions that branch off of Oak Hill Road between those points were under the advisory as well.
