O'boro shooting suspect in custody, investigation leads to arrest of two others

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Owensboro Police have arrested a Sunday shooting suspect and two others after continued investigation.

Around 10:00 Friday night, officers stopped a vehicle in th e1700 block of Scherm Road. An occupant was identified as 21-year-old Preston T. Williams, who was taken into custody.

Officers identified Williams on Friday morning as a suspect in a Sunday shooting. On July 14, at around 1:30 a.m., the Owensboro Police Department responded to a firearm discharge call in the 500 block of Maple Street.

The victim told police that while driving in the area of W. 7th Street and Sycamore Street, an unknown subject fired a gun from inside a white Dodge Charger passenger car, striking the window of her vehicle.

There were no injuries reported.

After an investigation of the shooting, police also arrested 20-year-old Deandrie L. Kirby and 20-year-old Michelle D. McGuire.

All three are lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
