Date set for UK/U of L battle

Kentucky's in-state showdown with rival Louisville on Sept. 14 is set for a noon EDT kickoff on ESPN.

It marks the second straight year and fifth time since 2005 that ESPN will broadcast the game.

The Wildcats seek to end a two-game losing streak to the Cardinals when they meet at Commonwealth Stadium. Louisville beat Kentucky 24-17 there in 2011.

The Southeastern Conference has also set the Wildcats' Sept. 7 home opener against Miami (Ohio) for a noon kickoff to be shown on Fox Sports Network. Kentucky's Aug. 31 season opener against Western Kentucky in Nashville is 6 p.m. CDT on ESPNews.
