Jasper Riverwalk continues to expand

The Jasper Riverwalk continues to expand in Dubois County.

There was a dedication ceremony over the weekend for the new German-American Bank Boulevard.

The walkway is next to Jasper's Train Depot and features a new staging area.

Jasper Mayor Terry Seitz says he is very pleased with the work done so far.

"We'll be connecting from the German-American Boulevard across our city riverwalk, the 2.1-mile walk, along the Patoka River. Literally then, you can connect underneath the state highway's bridge, down to our gazebo and plaza area. That really is my favorite part of the boulevard," Mayor Seitz said.

During the dedication, the Redevelop Old Jasper Action Coalition, which put on the event, celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
