Webster Co. man arrested on arson charge

WEBSTER CO., KY (WFIE) -

The Kentucky State Police has charged a Webster County man with arson.

On Wednesday around 1:50 a.m., KSP charged 60-year-old Tommy R. Branson, of Sebree, KY, with one count of Arson 2nd Degree (Class B Felony).

KSP says on Tuesday, July 9 around 10:21 p.m., KSP Post 2 Madisonville received a call from Webster County in reference to a house fire located at 328 Starl Shelton Road in Sebree.

Authorities say through the course of the investigation, investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Branson. 

Branson was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center.
