Eight local restaurants will team with eight Henderson County farms to prepare delicious hors d'oeuvres made with locally grown produce at the first Farm-to-Fork Evening at the Henderson County Farmer's Market, set for 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
The restaurants participating include Commonwealth Kitchen + Bar, Rockhouse at Wolf's, Delizio Gourmet Italian Eatery, Acropolis Greek Restaurant, Rookies Sports Bar & Restaurant, Golden Corral, Darren's Pub and Subway. Chefs from those establishments will be supplied with fruits, vegetables or herbs from the following Farmer's Market vendors: Cates Farm, CDB's Honey Farm & Produce, Stone Hill Honey, Kamuf & Sons Farm, Ashley & Sarah's Berry Patch, Cardinal Farms, First Fruit Farms and Hillcrest Baskets & Greenhouse.
In addition to the delicacies made with local foods, the event will include live music provided by the Redmon Brothers and both samples and sales of wine from Ruby Moon Vineyard & Winery. Leann Scott, the Kentucky Gourd Lady, will provide table decorations.
Tickets to the Farm-to-Fork Evening are $25 each. Proceeds will benefit the Farmer's Market and the Henderson-Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee.
