James Russell says he would describe his neighborhood as mellow, but a knock on the door early this morning changed that. "At 5:45am police knocked on the door and woke everyone in the neighborhood telling us that our tires were slashed," said James Russell.
Two of Russell's tires on his Chevy Tahoe were slashed along with more than 20 other cars and trucks in his Owensboro neighborhood. Police arrested 24-year-old Johnathan Embry and charged him with two counts of criminal mischief. Police say Embry could face more charges. "It does put a damper on our holiday. We're not going to let it ruin our holiday. We're still going to barbeque and set off fireworks, but that's not how you want to start off your 4th of July holiday,"said Russell.
