HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A former Madisonville teacher is facing charges for several sex related crimes, including sex with a minor.

24-year-old Samuel Hann is out of jail on bond, but the county attorney says he wants to change that.

With the nature of these charges against Hann, officials with the county attorney's office are not stopping until a higher bond is set.

Hann is being charged with four felonies including use of a 14-year-old minor in a sexual performance. In citations given to 14 News, Hann admitted to sexual acts while using Facetime on his cell phone with a the same 14-year-old minor.

Officials say that on Tuesday night, he was released from the Hopkins County Jail on a signature bond. Hopkins County Attorney Todd P'Pool is moving for an immediate bond hearing next Monday with a preliminary hearing set for next Friday.

"The fact that apparently the website identifies him as a teacher and has access and proximity to minors, is problematic. He is a risk. That's why my office will be asking for the judge to change his decision and give a reasonable bond to ensure the public's safety, and see that this defendant is back in custody," P'Pool said.

A spokesperson with the Lake County School Board of Education says that as of Wednesday afternoon, they are moving to terminate Hann's contract as a seventh grade math teacher at Cecil Gray Middle School in Florida.
