Owensboro Police say woman died after jumping from downtown parking garage

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Just before 10 AM Wednesday morning, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a call regarding a female who had reportedly jumped from a building in the 100 block of Daviess Street; near Smothers Park.

When they arrived they found the body of an adult woman in an alley between an office building and the parking garage.

The coroner's office has now confirmed that the 77-year-old woman died after jumping from the top of the downtown parking garage.

Police say foul play is not suspected.
