Two new Habitat homes complete in Owensboro

Two single moms are sleeping in their new Daviess County homes on Tuesday night.

Habitat for Humanity recently finished construction on the habitat homes in Daviess County near the intersection of Monarch and West Fourth Street in Owensboro.

Habitat for Humanity started building the homes back in March. Volunteers from different schools, churches, and student organizations all helped out.

"We're looking to finish the yards and just feel excited that two more home owners are in their homes," said Virginia Braswell, with Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity recently broke ground on two more homes in the 200 block of West 9th Street in Owensboro.
