Weather cooperates for Greenville's Bike Night

GREENVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

A crowd is gathering in Downtown Greenville to raise money for the volunteer fire department.

Residents tell 14 News that the weather never cooperates for Bike Night, but Friday is beautiful and people are ready to enjoy themselves.

It's the fourth year of Greenville's Bike Night to raise money for the Greenville Fire Department. A good time for the whole family as organizers expect over a hundred motorcycles to set up shop in downtown.

Events include live music and a battle of the bands, with the winner walking away with a $1,000.

So far this year, organizers say the Bike Nights have raised $1,500 for the Greenville Fire Department.

"We've only been able to have this two Friday nights and we've averaged 95 bikes a night. So hopefully, we'll have a better turn out," says Jerry Aders, Greenville Fire Chief.

If you are unable to make it to Bike Night, there is a Fallen Heroes ride making a stop in Greenville Saturday morning.
