It's time for the ROMP Festival in Daviess County and Bluegrass music fans poured in early Wednesday afternoon.
Even before the gates officially opened, cars and RV's were already lining up and ready to ROMP.
Anita Dixon is one of many ROMP fans that arrived bright and early to set up camp, but there were some who beat her to the punch.
"There was some people that spent the night in their motor homes on the road coming in," says Anita.
For many ROMP enthusiasts, snagging a good spot is key, especially if you're going to be there for the entire festival.
"The first time we brought a motor home out, we camped by the creek, and so last year we got a spot close to this one and we wanted to make sure we were underneath the shade trees this year," says Anita.
While campers set up for three days of music and entertainment, organizers are busy making trips throughout the park on golf gates to ensure that everything's running smoothly.
"Everything is going super-fantastic," says Chris Langdon, who organized ROMP fest. "We've got an awesome team here that does a really great job of getting all the RV's in, a lot of tent campers will be coming in."
A few simple rules guide one of Owensboro's signature events.
"Make sure you pay attention to the signage that we have throughout the park," says Langdon. "We've tried our best to point out the best places that everyone can camp. Be respectful of your neighbor, and have a great time."
If you plan on coming to ROMP, the gates will open back up at 8:00 A.M.
