Warrick Co. man sentenced for molesting a child

BOONVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A Warrick Co. man found guilty of child molestation in May is now facing a sentence.

On June 11, 68-year-old Charles A. Gillim,was sentenced to 30 years at the Indiana Department of Correction.

Upon his release, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life .

The State filed charges of child molesting against Gillim on April 8, 2011, claiming that between March 1, 2011, and March 7, 2011, Gillim performed or submitted to sexual intercourse or deviate sexual conduct with a child under 14 years old.

The investigation leading to Gillim's arrest was conducted by Lt. Mark Dimmett and Officer Tim Schuble of the Chandler Police Department.

First Deputy Prosecutor, Parker Trulock represented the State of Indiana in the three-day jury.
