Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating
an ATV accident involving two Knox County youths.
DNR officials say a 12-year-old and an 8-year-old, both from Decker, were injured after a low speed collision while on dirt bikes.
Officials say the 8-year-old was operating a dirt bike in front of the 12-year-old when he slowed and turned the dirt bike sideways. The teen was unable to avoid hitting the tire of the 8-year-old's dirt bike and turned his dirt bike over.
They were both transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where they were treated and released.
Both boys were wearing protective equipment including helmets which may have limited the extent of injuries.
Indiana Conservation Officers strongly encourage the use of protective equipment while operating any off road vehicle.
