A Phoenix police officer initially received a 40-hour suspension two years after a YouTube video surfaced showing him slamming a teen girl into a wall.
That was later reduced to 32 hours.
The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association said it is considering filing a special action with the court.
The incident happened on Jan. 25, 2011 at Ombudsman Charter School at 4000 E. Thomas Road. Officer Patrick Larrison ran up behind the girl, who was walking away, and threw her into the wall.
The video, which was later found on the Internet by a police employee, then shows Larrison handcuffing the girl and walking her to a police cruiser.
The Phoenix Police Department immediately opened criminal and internal investigations into Larrison's actions.
