Nine-year-old Paige Miller of Paige's Cupcakes for Cancer presented a check on Monday to the Deaconess Foundation.

Throughout the month of May, Paige and her family, along with volunteers from her school, have been making and selling homemade cupcakes with all proceeds going to help cancer patients at Deaconess.

Last year, Paige was able to raise over $1,200. This year, she more than doubled that amount at $3,600.

"I just want to help people with cancer. I was thinking I might raise like a thousand," Paige says with a laugh.

Paige and her family say Paige's Cupcakes for Cancer will continue next May.
