Evansville motorcyclist killed in Friday night crash

An Evansville man was killed Friday night when a motorcycle and truck crashed on Evansville's east side.

Police say the accident occurred at the intersection of Pollack Avenue and Alvord Blvd. on Friday night around 10:00 p.m.

According to officers, the truck driver, Cody Ritchie of Newburgh, was driving westbound on Pollack. Ritchie told law enforcement that he didn't see 27-year-old Nathan Kenoyer on his motorcycle, since the bike's headlight wasn't on.

When Ritchie turned south toward Alvord, he hit Kenoyer's motorcycle head-on. A police report says Kenoyer suffered a fatal injury to the head.

One other man was in the truck with Ritchie at the time, but neither he nor Ritchie were injured. It's unclear if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
