A woman was injured on Friday morning after her car struck a bowling alley in Muddy, Illinois.
After receiving several reports, Saline County Sheriff's Deputies responded to find 83-year-old Betty Reed, of Eldorado, Illinois, had ran through the Ross Cottom Lanes in Muddy.
According the deputies, Reed says she was slowing down to avoid an accident but had accidentally hit the accelerator. Reed hit a pole and two signs before crashing into the bowling alley.
Reed was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center and was later transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville with an arm injury.
No other pedestrians or bystanders were injured during the accident.
The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
