In Gibson County, authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that occurred behind the A&B Contracting building. The fire, which began around two on Thursday morning, destroyed two parked semi trucks.
Nathan Spindler, the shop foreman at A&B, says it took firefighters less than one hour to control the blaze. Spindler tells us that he thinks the fire was caused by either an electrical complication or arson.
"The trucks were sitting here and there was nobody here. They were sitting in the back lot," said Spindler. "They still have juice going from the battery to the starter so the trucks always has power. It could be an electrical fire. It does not happen often but it can happen."
Spindler says he hopes to know the results of the fire investigation by the beginning of July.
