An Evansville park got some much needed TLC on Tuesday.
The West Side Nut Club put in a few hours of hard work at Howell Mini Park on the west side of Evansville.
They fixed up the park a few years back and now they're just trying to maintain it for the neighborhood. They spread mulch, painted the fence and pulled weeds.
Dennis Nettles said it's just one part of their community outreach and that members do expect to work.
"We do have a lot of fun, but we also want to work. We're not afraid to get our hands dirty. We're not scared to donate some money, put some time back into the community and make Evansville a better place. Not only on the west side, but the city as a whole," Nettles said.
First-year members wore orange shirts because this project is part of their new member orientation.
