An Indiana man is due in court next month on charges he impersonated a state conservation officer.
The Knox County Sheriff's Department says Scott Andrew Thovson of Martinsville is due in court July 2 to face allegations he pretended to be an officer and stopped a car.
WTHI -TV reports Vincennes police had already arrested Thovson on a similar charge June 10. Police say when they stopped Thovson's vehicle they found a look-a-like handgun, handcuffs, a police scanner and emergency lights, and he was wearing clothes similar to a conservation officer's uniform.
Thovson was released from jail after he posted a $6,500 bond. He could not be reached for comment Sunday because there was no phone number listed for him.
