Gibson Co. traffic stop results in IL man's arrest on drug charges

GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

A traffic stop in Gibson County results in the arrest of an Illinois man on several drug charges. 

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on SR 64 West of Princeton around 5:45 Friday night.

Deputies say they had suspicion that the two men in the truck had recently purchased meth making materials from a local pharmacy. After a search, they discovered methamphetamine, hydrocodone tablets and paraphernalia.

Deputies say the passenger of the vehicle, 34-year-ols Justin E. Davis,of Allendale, IL, admitted that the items that recovered from the vehicle were his.

Davis was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Davis is being held in the Gibson County Jail on $4,300 cash bond.
