A Henderson Grand Jury indicts a man on a terroristic threatening charge.

20-year-old Brenden Mathis appeared in court on Wednesday.

Authorities say Mathis was overheard making statements concerning how he could use explosives at Henderson County High School.

"It's shocking because of the bad situations happening in Boston and it just terrifies me for our kids," says Debby Kumar, a parents of a Henderson County High School student. "We don't need any bad things happening in our area."

Henderson Police say a witness overheard the conversation and took a photo of Mathis telling a juvenile how he could use explosives at the high school. The witness then contacted police and provided officers with a photo of Mathis after he snapped his picture without Mathis' knowledge.

"It scares me because I love my daughter and she goes there and this is her last year," says Kumar. "She's my future."

Still shaken by the news, Kumar is still sending her daughter to school because she says those situations unfortunately can happen anywhere.

Police say Brenden Mathis was identified using the photo and he was located at 428 South Ingram Street.
