Local retired army soldier traveling Southeast raising money for troops

If you stop by a couple of Kangaroo Express stations in Henderson or Evansville over the next couple days, you'll find an army soldier parked outside.

He's traveling the country on a mission.

Retired soldier Don O'Neal is touring the Southeast this summer raising money for the USO and other military support organizations.

Last year the Salute Our Troops tour raised more that $3 million.

You'll find Don in his 2009 Mullis dragster, which he is also racing along the way at some Lucas Oil Racing events.

If you're interested in coming to see Don and his Dragster, he'll be at the following locations:

Thursday, May 30 (Henderson, KY)
10 a.m. – 12 noon: Kangaroo Express,  2001 East Hwy 60 Henderson, KY
2 p.m. – 4 p.m.:  Kangaroo Express, 197 N Garden Mile Rd. Henderson, KY

Friday, May 31 (Evansville, IN)
10 a.m. – 12 noon:  Kangaroo Express, 1650 S. Kentucky Ave. Evansville, IN
2 p.m. – 4 p.m.:  Kangaroo Express, 325 S. Kentucky Ave. Evansville, IN

For the next couple of days you can donate money at any of these locations that will go to support troops.

Don's Southeast tour starts on Independence Day and goes through to Labor Day. During that time money you donate to any Kangaroo Express will go to support the troops.
