MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office tells us that 16-year-old Bethany Sellers has safely returned home.

We're told that the investigation is still on-going, but that charges for her 18-year-old boyfriend, Christopher Johnston, are being prepared.

Authorities tell us two made a plan to leave the state and head to Georgia to pursue a life together.

Through family sources and questioning, Bethany Sellers was returned home safely this morning but the 18-yr-old is still in Georgia.

On Friday the officers responded to a missing person's complaint from her parents.

Joe Sellers reported that his daughter left their house sometime before 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.

The report was filed and entered through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing juvenile, and the information will be spread nationwide to be accessed by all law enforcement departments.
