A man featured in the 14 News mug shot round up is back behind bars, but the process was not that simple.

Vincent Bufkin was wanted by the Evansville Police Department for failing to register as a sex offender.

The department got a call today indicating that he was in line to get breakfast at the United Caring Shelter.

When they arrived to take him into custody he allegedly ran, fought, and bit an officer during his arrest.

He finally was handcuffed and taken into custody. He was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the arrest, and was then taken to jail.

He'll face an additional charge of "Battery of a law enforcement agent."

The officer had bruising and broken skin on his forearm where he was bitten.
