Free food to compliment existing summer program

Posted: Updated:

After years of hard work, The Dream Center is an official site for the Summer Food Service Program. It's run through the Department of Education.

Through May 28th to August 2nd, free lunches and snacks will be provided each week day. Lunch runs from 11:30am to 12:30pm and the snack is from 2:30 to 3pm.

The Dream Center already runs a summer program, providing fun things for children to do free of charge.

Todd Morgan with The Dream Center tells 14 News that their service area is targeted towards the Jacobsville neighborhood and Garvin Park area. Any adults or children in need can stop by for the meal, though.

There are no requirements or registration to participate in the meal program or snack. The Dream Center does require students to be registered if they are to be involved in our summer activities that are conducted between those times.

The Dream Center is located on Morgan Avenue in Evansville. Any questions can be directed to Morgan at 812-401-5558.
