Additional charges are filed against a man charged with murder in Gibson County.

In a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday, prosecutors filed more charges against 23-year-old Austin Blaize, of Francisco:

  • Count 3 Felony Murder;
  • Count 4 Burglary - Bodily Injury or Serious Bodily Injury, Class A felony;
  • Count 5 Intimidation With Deadly Weapon, Class C felony;
  • Count 6 Pointing A Firearm, Class D felony;
  • Count 7 Carrying of Handgun Without License, Class A misdemeanor;
  • and Request for Life Sentence Without Parole.

Blaize was originally charged with murder and attempted murder.

He's accused of killing 47-year old Terry Monier, of Fort Branch, in January.

State police say Blaize came to the Monier home on January 16, with intent to hurt his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend.

Investigators say Blaize shot a handgun twice and the second time struck Monier, his ex-girlfriend's father.

Blaize was arrested a short time later at a relative's home in Francisco.

A Progress hearing is set for June 13 at 9:00 a.m.
