Evansville Police says they have arrested three juveniles for Attempted Burglary and Resisting Law Enforcement after responding to a 911 call early Monday morning.
Police were called to 208 Adams around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning after one of the occupants heard glass breaking in the kitchen.
When officers arrived, they say two teen girls tried to run from the back of the home.
Both were caught by officers who were in the front of the house. A teen boy suspect also ran and was caught after a foot chase.
Police say the two girls were both in possession of replica handguns that fired pellets. The girls told investigators they had intended to break in and "scare the resident".
The 67 year old caller told investigators she was in the home with her 82 year old mother and that she heard the glass on the door getting broken out.
Officers arrived before the suspects were able to get into the home.
The suspects were placed at the Youth Care Center.
