Reds defeat Cubs following eighth inning rally

The Reds overcame the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon following a four-run eighth inning.

Down 2-4 in the sixth, Cincinnati rallied in the eighth for a 6-4 victory.

Only one hit in the inning scored four runs for the Reds.

A bases loaded single by Jay Bruce scored Zack Cozart kicking off the inning. A sacrifice fly by Todd Frazier brought Joey Votto home tying the game at four. RHP Hector Rondon walked Jack Hannahan with the bases loaded scoring Brandon Phillips. Jay Bruce scored on a Mesoraco sacrifice fly before the side was retired.

Aroldis Chapman gets the save and Logan Ondrusek gets the win.

The Reds lead the Cubs 2-0 in the series. Matt Latos is scheduled to start on Sunday as the Reds attempt to sweep the Cubs at 2:20 p.m.
