Kentucky Derby glass lists 2 winners in 1948

Citation won all three Triple Crown races in 1948, but on this year's collectible Kentucky Derby glass, he shares his Derby victory with Ponder, who actually won in 1949.

The glasses list all previous Derby winners, and the 2013 glasses circulating at Churchill Downs on Friday list 1948 twice, once with Citation and once with Ponder, and skip 1949.

"2thegame" of Phenix City, Ala., provided the glass. The company referred questions to Larry Laska, who didn't return calls to his office Friday afternoon.

A woman who answered the phone for 2thegame said the mistake had been pointed out by "a lot of people."

Churchill Downs Inc. referred questions to the corporate director of partnership activation and marketing, Lindsi Glass, who also didn't return calls Friday afternoon.
